Gram’s Sugar Cookies

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1-1/3 cup Butter; softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar; packed
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 each eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  1. Preheat the Oven to 350 F.
  2. In a bowl mix flour, Baking Soda, Salt, and set aside.
  3. In a Small Bowl add the Sugar and Brown Sugar and set aside.
  4. In a small bowl add the eggs and vanilla and set aside.
  5. Place the softened butter in the mixer with the Paddle Attachment, turn on Medium Speed to Cream, Scrape Down the Sides and do it again.
  6. Add the Sugar and Brown Sugar, Mix Well, Make Sure that you scrape the bottom of the bowl to make sure all of the Butter is incorporated.
  7. Add the Eggs and Vanilla and Mix Well.
  8. Add the Flour, Baking Soda, and Salt, Mix Well.
  9. With Spoons, make Small Balls of the Dough and Flatten with a fork.
  10. Bake for 15 minutes or until they are Golden Brown.
  11. Place on a Wire Rack to Cool.
