August 21 Eclipse Field Trip

August 21, 2017 is the day of the Solar Eclipse. We are organized to bus students to Butte High School and see the eclipse in the path of totality zone. The field trip is  for grades 4-12. Students with signed consent forms may attend our field trip to Arco.

Field trip items to consider:

8:00 am leave time must go by this time at the latest.

Students should arrive at school with parent transportation between 7:30 and 7:45 am.

Safety glasses will be provided for all students and have adult supervision.

We will have access to Butte High School facilities both before and after the eclipse.

Consent forms will be available at student registration.

Students can pack their own lunch or sign up for a school  lunch on their consent forms.

We are packing extra water, snacks and bathroom facilities in case of traffic jams.

Traffic concerns and other unknown factors will determine the success of our plans. We may not be able to travel all the way to Arco and could be late coming home. We’ll plan to return around 4pm.

Field trip is not mandatory, students who elect not to attend is perfectly acceptable.

First day of  school K-12 starts on Tuesday August 22, 2017 at 8am.
